Looks like Activision and Vivendi are merging. 18 billion dollars.

Pretty huge merger. Vivendi will have 52% stake.. Blizzard... well... not sure why they're in the name :)

It's bigger than people realize, I think. 52% share means Vivendi OWNS Activision. No more bullshit from them. Isn't Activision the largest distributor of games, and the one Duke Nukem Forever will rely on? World of Duke Never?!

Of course, like Aaz said, the consumer apparently won't be seeing much of a visual impact, since this is mostly a stock/house cleaning buyout:

Well, no, but the number of publishers is dwindling into these major 3rd party companies. The biggest ones being EA, Ubisoft, and now Activision Blizzard.
