About the boy's progression (56:36)…

I suppose this is to show that astral beings are stronger now because of the current state of the world (Fantasia). I wonder if this means that Griffith will be able to suppress the boy better (or completely?!) on regular days unlike that time at the Hill of Swords (Pre-Fantasia)?

I don't think that's related. Both Femto and the boy are ethereal beings, even though they have a corporeal body. IMHO, like I said on the podcast, I think it shows that the boy is becoming stronger, or at least better able to suppress Femto during full moons. But it could also just be that Femto was being discreet and biding his time.
