Very Bad Berserk Summary

I've known about this for years, but I thought it would be sad if more people didn't know about this extremely off point description of Berserk. This is the summary of the 1997 Berserk anime from my university's library system.

"In the castle town of Midland, a new king has come to power through treachery and violence. Mercenaries named Guts and Griffith and a mysterious warrior known as the Black Swordsman will do battle against the king."

That's pretty bad indeed. That being said these kinds of summaries often are (Netflix comes to mind). Maybe you could contact whoever's in charge of that system if you want it updated.

Yeah, I've seen that summary a few times. I think it came from Media Blasters, who localized the anime for the US.

I mean, it could be worse, right? http://www.skullknight.net/forum/index.php?topic=13865.msg219853#msg219853

Oof. I wonder how much of the anime whoever wrote that watched to come up with that description.

It's a very specific misconception about the series. So it sounds like whoever it was watched the first episode of the anime, and then looked at a few pictures of the rest of the series :void:

Not all those who wander are lost
How about we collectively develop a fanfic arround that? Sounds terrible but also possibly fun :ganishka:

Guess it could be a way to appreciate Berserk during hiatus aswell.

Oh man, I had forgotten how cringey the DH volume blurbs were. :???: Maybe it's time to dust off my volumes.
