What detail we probably won't get in the continuation of Berserk "bothers" you?

I was watching some Berserk videos and some person made a video about Apostles and their forms and i wondered about Apostles like Locus the "Moonlight Knight".
What makes his form nearly identical to a human (apart from pupils), while others turn from demons (in normal form) to even more grotesque monstrosities when they transform?
I would like to hear from whoever wants to share some of their own curiosities about the worldbuilding/storyline of Berserk we are least likely to get answers for.
Thanks in advance.

As Aazealh mentioned, different people yield different outcomes.

I'd like to add that, for me, an apostle's form is a way to reflect the nature or persona of the being. To list a few examples:
  • Wyald was shaped like a monkey because he embodied the darkest sides of primal instincts, including sex, violence (and rock and roll), and ecstasy.
  • Zodd cares only for one thing: finding the strong and becoming stronger. His lion-like form suits him perfectly in that regard. (lion-like is way off, but I think you get my point)
  • Femto's form was even explicitly described in the manga and I mean... no questions about that right?
  • Irvine transforms into a beast on all fours, with fur, claws, and antlers, symbolizing his personal transformation. He hunted beasts until one day, he became one himself. (Also: bow)
A few more apostles, where the same logic could easily apply, include Rakshas, Grunbeld, the Snake Baron, and the Slug Count.

Locus presents himself as a noble knight of class and aristocracy, so it makes perfect sense that his apostle form reflects that.

I’m not sure how much it qualifies, but I’m almost certain we’ll be robbed of a remotely satisfying payoff to Guts and Casca’s relationship, and that’s a really bitter pill to swallow. Only Miura could have made the wait worthwhile, if we’re lucky the Gaga people will remember that they’re an item at all.

  • Lore expansion with the knowledge of the Great Gurus
  • A nice conclusion to Farnese. I hope she doesn't just die in the war
  • Full story about the conflict between Skull Knight and Void, and what exactly happened 1000 years ago
  • Godhand and behelit origins
  • Idea of Evil, showing whatever happens to it after the "bad guys" are defeated
  • A conclusion do Theresia
  • Rakshas backstory and proper conclusion
  • Zodd rivalry with Skull Knight explained, and how he knows about the berserker armor while being only 300 years old
  • A better explanation about Griffith's obsession with Guts. He's not just mad because he lost control over him, there's definitely something else there

I think Griffith's ''obsession'' has been explained thoroughly. What exactly do you think needs a more detailed explanation?

We touched upon this in another thread (I think the one asking whether Guts is bisexual), but it's purposely left vague whether Griffith might have actually been in love with Guts. Maybe that's the level of explanation @Gambler seeks. I personally don't think we ever get one, nor that we need one but either way, this train has already left the station and we're stuck with only Femto.

Yes, because the eclipse and almost the whole Berserk story revolves around this

Why did he considered Guts the only one that made him forget his dream?

It's just my opinion, but this hasn't been fully explained yet
Westerners have difficulty understanding this dynamic since our culture is very different. In Japan, there is a massive focus on hierarchy and respect, a lot of power dynamics, and sometimes friendly rivalry, which is hard to explain. You can see some examples of that in Ryu x Ken from Street Fighter, Sonic x Knuckles from Sonic, Ryo x Robert from Art of Fighting, Sora and Riku from Kingdom Hearts, etc. You can even see some of that in Zodd x Guts. Zodd had the opportunity to kill Gutts back in Vritanis when they fought Ganishka, but he decided not to do it. He even attacked the other apostles who tried to hurt him.

What happens to Griffith is that he sees Guts as the complete opposite of him, and becomes fascinated with him. Guts had no dreams, or goals, and was completely free while Griffith led a very rigid life that had to conform to his dream. He could not understand how a person could live without a dream or a purpose.

Not only that, but Guts was pretty good at combat, being the only one to rival his skills and eventually, surpass him.

As the Hawks ascended, Griffith realized that Guts was a fundamental paw to help him achieve his dreams, but he also began to sense he was developing strong feelings towards him, feelings of respect, friendship, care, and love (not in a homosexual way, IMO).

When Guts left, Griffith was shattered, for Guts was the only person that he ever truly cared for, and he had a mental breakdown, believing he could never achieve his dream without him, and also hating the fact that he was so affected by the departure of a single person.

That is my opinion, as to why it was never about homosexuality.
