These were all good fights. But neither Serpico nor Silat made it seem to me that Guts could actually lose. As @TheItCrOw stated, Boskone was the last human that actually pushed him to his limits. At least that's how I felt during that fight when I read it.

S2 of Carnivale has a very climactic finale. It's definitely worth watching till the end. I'm planing on watching Pluto in the next days.
